Tube closures over August Bank Holiday weekend
There is essential planned work being carried out on the bank holiday weekend of 25 to 27 August. As a result of this work there will be some closures on the transport network.
· From 25 to 27 August, there will be no District line service between Parsons Green and Wimbledon. This is to facilitate essential track improvement works
· On 25 and 26 August, there will be no Bakerloo line service between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone. This is to enable Network Rail to carry out essential track improvements. This will lead to the suspension of London Overground services between Euston to Watford Junction over the weekend
The closures will not impact any of the lines or stations that serve the Notting Hill Carnival. The vast majority of services will be running as normal, and transport alternatives will be in place to help everyone enjoy the weekend’s festivities. Holland Park and Notting Hill underground will be open, but not Ladbroke Grove.
A plan is in place to enable customers to complete their journeys including station posters and announcements, social media, customer emails, information in the Metro newspaper and a dedicated webpage: https://tfl.gov.uk/status-updates/major-works-and-events/august-bank-holiday-and-notting-hill-carnival#on-this-page-1
