Restaurant keeps licence despite Rita Ora birthday party
Clarendon Road restaurant Case Cruz has been allowed to retain its license subject to banning the general manager from the business and providing "extra safeguards to ensure CCTV is operational" following the Council’s decision to impose a six-week temporary license suspension. The restaurant opened for pop star Rita Ora’s 30th birthday celebrations on 28th November in breach of Covid-19 restrictions, after her home was surrounded by paparazzi. The hearing revealed the restaurant’s general manager, who is no longer allowed to work on the premises, allowed Ms Ora to host the party and against licensing rules, turned off the CCTV cameras when guests arrived.
